Disadvantages of Webcasting or Education Webcast

The main problem with webcasting is boredom. It's very difficult to maintain people's attention for more than thirty minutes. Imagine yourself that you didn't sleep very well last night and that you are in your cubicle. You go into a webcast and find yourself trapped in a two hour talk.
Are you going to be able to hear all of it? Very improbable. It's more probable that you will fall asleep over your desk for most of the webcast or start wondering if you should be responding some emails.

Directing a webcast is not an easy task, and they should be designed in such a way that listeners or viewers maintain the interest on the theme during the duration of the transmission. The things that boring webcast do is waste time to the employees and make the company lose important resources. Your webcast future depends on it, so don't blow it.

Of course, webcasting is not only used in businesses. You will find them also as infomercials. Admit it, almost every person has fallen to the lure of an infomercial, wondering if you really need that incredible machine that let's you make tomato juice in six seconds. The only problem you find is that you don't like tomato juice, but even though, you will continue trapped until it finishes. It doesn't matter if it will last for at least one more hour.

But infomercial webcasting is not used for those kinds of products. Mainly, it's used for advertising a new scheme for making yourself rich at the commodity of your home or to consider the option of buying a part time apartment in some beach in the Caribbean. Some of them can be very useful. Maybe you are looking for a new way to earn a living or even considering spending some time in the sun.

Unfortunately, that's not the case with everyone. Most of the companies that lure people into watching webcast infomercials use probability to generate income in their business. They know that from one hundred people that watch their ad, a determined percent will be interested, even though they would have never come if they were told, in advance, what it was about.

It doesn't matter if it is used for infomercials; business to business presentations or education webcast programming, each one of us will feel, at least once in our lifetime, the magical touch of webcasts and the ability to send a message to wide audiences through out the world. After forecasting webcast future, we can only sit and see what other kind of new uses we find for it. Be prepared, it could be the beginning of a new revolution.
